For Sale: Assos & Rapha

Hello, I have these three items for sale - all bought earlier this year and my only reason for selling is that I simply haven't used them enough.

Rapha Classic Jersey - Black XL - £70
Probably worn about 4 or 5 times in total, it's in perfect condition.

Assos F1 Uno Bib Shorts - Black L - £80
Worn twice, they have been packed back into box. Includes the bag for washing machine.

Mavic Avenir Road shoes** - White - Size 9 - £70
Again... hardly used, in fantastic condition.

I will put photos up tomorrow if needs be, but it's all straight forward stuff.

Dude, can you just tell me what size waste you are? Their chart only seems to talk about length.

There is a size chart on the Ribble link below... Assos say Large is for a 30-32" waist. I'm 32" and they fit me perfectly.

Obviously you have to go on averages when you are sizing clothing up, but it does seem a bit inconsistant.
With regards to Assos, I have a jersey that I really like from them, it's a Large.
So when trying on leg warmers I tried the Large ones- to discover that they were better suited to a Giraffe, or pro basketball player.
Which leaves me with the conclusion that the Assos L is designed for a cyclist who weighs around 80kg and is just over 2 metres tall.

I weigh 80Kg and am not 2m tall.

Needless to say, it comes nowhere close to fitting me.

I'm like 75kg and 1.93m. They'd totally fit me. If only they suited my bank balance too.

when measuring bib shorts, length is far more important than waist size because they don't have any waistband, or indeed any sort of measurable waist as they stretch open as they move upwards and are ultimately held up by the shoulders (that's sort of the point).

so if you get a pair that are too short they'll be sliding up your leg and compressing your thigh too high (uncomfortable). get it too long and they'll be sitting on your knee joint. if the length's right, dibs them.
