Maybe a quick PM to Varno might help? Could well be his normal wholesaler that can get them...
Thanks, but just rechecked and they don't come in 20h (even though the shallower R600 does...), so a swap on my Ellipse hubs wouldn't work.

750g? I've got a pair of 50mm Alex R700 that weigh 700g.
I've never riden Pegasus before. They must be pretty sturdy!
How the hell can road/track/commuter rim weigh that much? I know DH/jump rims that do not weigh that much!

Claimed weight is actually 764g ;)
Yes, even with a deep section and a side wall for brakes, that does sound like quite a lot. Altho according to WW the Sun Double Track is 882g... for a 26" disc spec rim!

They're heavy rims.
I bloody love them though. They've helped me shave a bit from my 10 and 25mi times. I'm certainly not a rider who is off sufficient ability to be badly affected by a few hundred grams here and there although they clearly feel heavy to spin up.
I suppose I don't need to say it but climbing is not a fun experience on them. I only put them on for flat/fast rides where I'm challening my best time anyway.

They are a bit bigger and maybe just as strong. Just because they are not labelled DH/Jump doesn't mean they will fold any quicker.

50mm alloy rims are never goinng to be light anyway.
I'd pity anybody who tried to commute on them. Your knees would die within days of spinning those up from lights!
Once you get them spinning you are flying but you do not want to stop!

Bear in mind, children, that 700g rims are only 200g heavier than light-ish rims, about the same as the difference between a race tyre/tube and commuting rubber. In other words, pretty trivial. Also, 700g 50mm deep rims will build into strong and rigid wheels with half as many spokes as are needed for a very light and low rim, so the aero gain would be huge even if the rim is only a marginal improvement on its own, easily compensating for the weight penalty on any ride that's not an actual hill climb.

Repped! Its easy to pay too much attention to the figures.
What I know for sure is that on flat courses, my TT times improved considerably when I switched from lightweight wheels to aero despite gaining a few hundred grams a wheel. I think I can detect an improvement in rotational momentum too although I'm not sure if that is just in my head or not.
I'll weigh a few of my wheelsets and post how they compare. I'm geeky like that.

I use Mavic A319 with Continental Travel Contacts which makes for a strong puncture resistant setup but overall rim, tyre and tube weight for each wheel is around 1400g.
And yet I am still really, really fast despite that.
Frankly I'm amazed nobody has come back to say 'why don't you have a rim'.
