Thanks for comments - yes, it's a lot of money but for someone after something new or nearly new it's a relative bargain - current Master F&F around £1500 (but not as nice IMHO), Athena gruppo around £600 (but now nobbled with Powershift/Powertorque rubbish), wheels £250+... etc etc.

I'd say. Look on ebay for current prices of older master frames and you'll get an idea of how good this is.
I know, I've just paid for one ;)

Very sexy bikey.
I think i'm going to print it off and put it up on my wall. I need something to cover up that poster of Rob Lowe circa 1985.

Advertised elsewhere, thread closed
Built for a friend this summer, unfortunately he now needs to sell due to change in circumstances. Essentially it is an original 90's Master Olympic with modern group set and wheels. It has done less than 300 miles since complete restoration and mostly new/NOS parts. Chrome on frame and lugs is excellent, resprayed with new decals. Fork was re-chromed. 55cm square c2c frame. Build spec as follows, 'new' refers to build date (i.e. now +300mls):
Groupset: new 11spd Athena with last of the UltraTorque cranks (172.5mm) and UltraShift (i.e. full range of clicks) carbon levers. 12-29 Chorus cassette and chain.
Wheels: new Xero Lite XR-210, high flange hubs, de-stickered
Tyres: Conti GP-4000s (not Vittorias in pics)
Bars: NOS 3TTT Super Competizione TdF 42cm
Bar tape: Stella Azzuri
Stem: 3TTT Record 84, 9cm, panto'd Ernesto Colnago
Headset: new Record 1" threaded
Seatpost: Chorus steel alloy
Seat: Charge Knife Ti, (I also have a Flite Ti or a Rolls if preferred)
Bottle cages: Topeak stainless steel (+ a pair of retro Colnago bottles, not shown).
He's hoping for around £1,700, which is a lot lot less than a new Master of this spec and obviously less than it cost to build. It is currently back at my place and I'm happy to arrange viewing if you are interested. May end up splitting but would rather sell complete as it's a lovely build and running really sweetly.
