From my house in Chorlton, it was in the side ginal out off sight from the road.
They chopped the heavy duty padlock that was on the iron gate and took 2 bikes, leaving my girlfriends so I assume there was just 2 of them.

Sorry to hear. Bikes best kept indoors, where possible. Sounds like the bikes were unlocked behind padlocked gate tho?
