  • 330 frame only ... but then again, by the time it gets built in taiwan, flown to the states then flown over here, it's a steal !!! ... loving the fact that there's a bmx bottom bracket in the middle of it all.
planning to get there tomorrow ... the mick doohan ... oops i mean casey stoner show should be over in plenty of time (seriously though, he deserves every second of it)
... nowt serious 2morro - possible frankenshopper debut (and demise) ... i had no idea people made cranks that small ... gotta be 50 or 55 max !! .... tiny

Oo-er, a bit pricey! My red bike also has a BMX BB (cheap mountainbike frame) and didn't cost anywhere near that. It did involve quite a lot of cut-and-shut to achieve though.
Can't wait to see the frankenshopper in action ;) I believe Fee's ESB has similarly short cranks. See you tomorrow, after the Stoner show.

  • lads!

made it to melbourne a couple of weeks ago. went out to the boonies today to buy a polo bike. its nowt special (early 90's trek mountain bike) but it will do the trick for starters. i'm going down to my first melbourne polo session on tuesday night. it's a 12 mile commute so i'm hoping it will be good! what's the craic over there? how was the glasgow tourney?

  • Puts our Gateshead commute in context Gav.
I'll be there about 3 today.

  • Good to hear from you gav - 12 miles !! Put it in the boot of a nice old Falcon i reckon !
3.00 sounds sweet to me too mat

  • G MAN!

put up a pick of the latest polo steed, and let us know how melbourne polo is....

    polo at 2 30?

  • Might be near 3 by the time I get there too.

  • Hey newcastle, do any of you have nick (who made Tristan's frame) email? Thanks.

  • In the words of the Smashing Pumpkins:
"Tonight tonight, there's a party at the Gateshead polo court."
Don't know about the party but I'll be there for the polo at 6:30.

  • Well indeed, unless you happen to fancy playing at a big, flat, perfectly fenced, floodlit pitch just outside Newcastle City Centre instead?

    Oh, did i mention it's AstroTurf? :L

It might be alright seeing as it's not raining today though??
