"geared riders have to sign a sworn undertaking not to change gear during ride".

On the Clacton ride, Anna changed gear once. She was so paranoid about the gears accidentally skipping and making her look like she was cheating. But she still did change on a hill. Burn the heretic! Nice day out though.
