  • Shitty phone pic, but this is the belt.
It's hardcore 2" wide webbing which is stitched double thick for about 2/3rds of its length to better support weight...It's then left single thickness for the remaining part which passes through the adjustable half of the buckle. The metal tri glide then tidies up the excess and prevents any creeping back through the buckle.

Once I have more buckles I will make some more of them.

  • ok, I really want one of those, so please put me on the list ( if there is one )

  • How much is one of these goodies, Mr Scott??

  • ^^ me too :)

  • Belts are £25
In case anybody is wondering, pretty much all belt loops will fit a 2" belt through...you just unthread it from the adjustable end first.

You can of course use them without going through belt loops too if you prefer.

  • ^^^^^
Looks pretty sweet. I will be up for one when you get round to making more

  • I wonder would I have a belt hidden in my big bag when I get it?? I would of course bring an extra £25 hard cold cash all in penny!!

ive got one of these. totally worth the extra money! especially if you use a fahg mini....

scott - ive got a mate wanting your deluxe messenger bag as well, whats the best way for him to contact you?

    all the best

  • I'm not taking any more orders for big bags for a while.
I want to clear the current backlog first.

I'm leaving London soon and locking myself away in the hideout for a year or so to get my life and Black Rainbow Project ship shape and Bristol fashion, so I'll be off the radar for the most part.

  • I didn't have any plans to make any saddle bags I'm afraid.
There are some big changes ahead for me after Christmas and I want to get through the current backlog of big bags before I implement these changes.
After that I'll be off the radar for a while, but I'll post more about what's happening nearer the time.

    Saddle bag going here...

Not mine but thought it may be of interest.

  • To anybody who has one of my belts, I now have black powdercoated steel tri glides to add to them.
These allow you to set the length at the buckle and then lock the excess belt down tight and not have any chance of slipping or re-adjusting.
    Just clip and go. :]

just let me know if you want one. I'm using one on mine and they work great.

I'm still in need of one please. I'm away for a week so will sort collection when I'm back. Cheers S.

  • the belts are awesome

and if using a heavy lock they won't collapse when holding the lock and pouch

my normal leather belt really struggled (the holes got stretched) and other buckles on nylon belts do not stay done up very well

basically buy the belt if buying the pouch

  • ^^ bought pouch. Would buy belt,if could..

  • basically buy the belt if buying the pouch

    +1.
They are really sturdy and awesome. Handy to take your pouch off without undoing your belt.

  • As I said before, please don't add your name and PM me for payment details unless you're serious about buying!

  • I've been riding around with my Violet hip pouch for a few months now, best £5O quid I ever spent.

Most of the time when I'm going out all I need is keys, wallet, lock and phone. I hate cycling with stuff in my pockets and taking my bag with me is complete overkill.
I can also stuff it with a twenty pack of marlboroughs, my lights and wrap my jacket up on the outside for when I'm out and about in the dark.

I carried my subway home in the velcro wrapping today, worked a treat.

Definitely keen for one of the belts when you have the supplies Scott!

This - it takes my phone wallet and keys and the lock perfectly. All I need. much more comfy than having stuff in pockets. Now want a fancy BRP belt!

  • How about tools, tube, patches etc? what do you guys do if you puncture?

  • I carry tools + pump + patches in mine, and still have room for stowaway, lock and bits and bobs.

It does bulk up though if I slap everything in it

  • A quick heads up...Bloody Parcelfarce still hasn't delivered my parcel containing the coloured metal d rings needed to finish off the INDIGO pouches. First they held it at customs while they decided how much I had to pay, then sent me a letter by snail mail, so I payed the charges and it should have been here yesterday, it wasn't, and it still isn't today either.
Tracking hasn't updated since the tenth so still says held.
I've emailed them to find out where the hell it is and why they haven't delivered, bearing in mind they added their 'handling fee' onto the customs charges.

As soon as the parcel is here I can add the d rings and they'll be finished.
In the mean time I'm going onto the VIOLETS.

    Sorry for the hold up.

Glad to see people liking their VIOLETS.
I've had one on my belt every single day since I first designed it and would hate not having it there to hold my essentials. Mine always has my phone, my credit cards, my photos of my kids, a couple of pens, and my A to Z inside, then my mini D on the back if I'm out.
I usually have my big bag with me so keep tools and tubes etc in that.

I'm going to add a smidge more length to the flap on future versions of the VIOLET just for when the pouch is more full, as I figure it's more likely to be completely full than completely empty.
I know there are people who wish it was a bit bigger sometimes, but then if it was, it wouldn't be so inconspicuous the rest of the time. It's a 'right tool for the job' kinda thing. Designed to carry just the essentials. If you regularly need to fit more inside it, then the INDIGO is better, which I would like one of myself when I'm less broke and can afford to keep one. :]

  • Scott, after some counting of pennies, please could I request a belt when you get a hold on the resources. Cheers.

  • I'd like a belt too, Scott... If they come in black, of course...
