Campagnolo Daytona

  • I've just picked up a nice Wilier with a Campagnolo Daytona groupset. I can't find out much about it other than it was mid range and renamed Centaur eventually. It's all complete apart from the crankset which is Record.

Does anyone know anything like what years it was produced etc or any other info?

    Thanks!

  • As far as I know it was around 2000-2003? Then they got sued so changed the name to centaur. It's a good group I've got it on my argon with newer chorus ergos

looking closer at yours though, is it 8 speed? Mines 10spd

  • attractive bike!

  • Thanks!

I got it for use as a pub/general messing about on bike for when I fancied gears but after riding it home, it might be a bit too good for that - it rides better than my much newer road bike so I may need to rethink my plans. It hasn't been used for quite a few years so a clean up and a bit of a service and it should be perfect. (The paint is chipped in a few places though!)

  • Nice bike, though that's a Chorus chainset from 88-91 btw.

  • Ah, okay. Yes, it's an eight speed cassette on there.

  • nice bike, I think early 200...couse the group use campy daytona
