I'd say everything got pushed two steps down with the introduction of athena and SR. To be fair to campag, it gives more budget options. So I'd look to go with Athena.
You could fix things up for what Dan quotes. A new chain, cassette, and cables. Is always nice. But if you get a groupset you can upgrade to 11 speed, and enjoy days of indexing adjustments.
