yeah I know - I feel the same a lot of the time. Been told by a few mechanics that my 10 speed record is better than the 11 speed offering available now.
Shimano lower groups get shit loads of trickle down - 2012 105 is like 2010 Ultegra in terms of shifting and braking (not in terms of weight though).
If only it didn't look so damn nice. Garr!
