Sigh, 3rd dibs on the Huish (or what ever it happens to be). PM sent
Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out three excellent lo-pro frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

DIAMANT ROAD FRAME c1983 Reynolds 531C
Seat Tube (ctc): 61cm (24in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 47mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This Belgian Diamant from the early 1980s is rather nicely built from Reynolds 531C tubing – the fork crown is a Zeus 2000 which was quite often used by Belgian builders. A very good large road frame at an excellent price. A spare set of Diamant decals will be included. With horizontal dropouts ideal for use as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £85
BELGIAN BUILT ROAD FRAME Columbus Aelle Beautiful blue paint
Seat Tube (ctc): 51cm (20in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52.5cm (20.75in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 45mm
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Columbus Aelle
This Belgian built frame from the 1980s is in excellent condition with very few marks to its rather special Blue Chomovalato (transparent paint over chrome) paint. Its a nicely built frame with English BB and headset threads. It has semi-vertical dropouts so is not ideal for use as a conversion though it is possible. £125
CLAUD BUTLER SIERRA TOURING FRAME c1986
Seat Tube (ctt): 23.5in (59cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 23in (58cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 60mm
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This Claud Butler touring frame was built I think around 1985–6; it has mounts on the rear stays for a rear rack. The paint is quite attractive though it has quite a few rather serious marks and somebody has started to sandpaper the paint on the front forks... These could be improved greatly by careful touching up. An excellent touring frame that could also be easily used as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £75
HUISH ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22.5in (57cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 64mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This frame with Huish decals has extremely poor paint though the frame itself is perfectly sound. I do not know the builder though it was sold to me as being built by Harry Quinn - I think that’s quite unlikely. It’s well built and will make an excellent rat bike singlespeed or fixed conversion. SOLD
CLAUD BUTLER ELECTRON ROAD FRAME 1970s
Seat Tube (ctt): 24in (61cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 65mm
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This Claud Butler Electron road frame from the 1970s is probably built from Reynolds 531 tubing; it certainly has Reynolds 531 forks. Its in very good condition; there are a number of marks to the paint but nothing too obtrusive and would be great as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £65
HILL SPECIAL ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 112mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 60mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This frame was originally built as a Hill Special (from Blackpool) and dates from probably around 1948. However I think it probably had an accident in the 1970s as the front half of the main triangle is now built with 1970s lugs. The frame and forks are perfectly straight and fork has a really nice twin-plate crown. Its poorly painted with Hammerite paint so is another ideal rat bike or candidate for powder coating. It would make a very straightforward singlespeed or fixed conversion. SOLD
ORBIT GOLD MEDAL ROAD FRAME 1980s New Old Stock
Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 62mm
This Orbit road frame from the 1980s has never been used or built up. Its probably built from Reynolds 531 tubing and is in excellent condition with just a small mark or two to the paint. It would make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. SOLD
DE MAYO RENOVATED ROAD FRAME c1986
Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 48mm
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This frame which is of unknown origins has been renovated by Chas Mayo of De Mayo frames. The frame originates from the 1980s I think; Chas May was quite a perfectionist and I am sure he would only have renovated good quality frames... It has vertical dropouts so would not be ideal as a conversion but it would make an excellent road bike. The paint is in excellent condition. £85
RALEIGH ROAD FRAME 1970s late 1990s Cro-moly tubing
Seat Tube (ctt): 23.5in (59cm), 22.5in (57cm) ctc
Top Tube (ctc): 22.5in (57cm)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 65mm
Seatpost size: 25.6mm
This tigged welded Raleigh road frame dates from the late 1980s and is built fron cro-moly tubing. The vertical dropouts have mounts for a rear rack but make it unsuitable for use as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £45
DAWES HARLEQUIN ROAD FRAME c1986 Lovely lugless construction
Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 62mm
Seatpost size: 26.8mm
This Dawes lugless frame is really a rather attractive frame under the poor paint. The lugless fillet brazing is quite neat and it would look really quite cool if powder coated. The horizontal dropouts make it ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £49
MINERVA ROAD FRAME with Colnago decals
Seat Tube (ctc): 60cm (24in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 48mm
Seatpost size: 26.6mm
Minerva is a Belgian bicycle brand - this one has had Colnago decals fitted (its not a Colnago nor a Masi!) and is in very nice condition. It will make a very straightforward conversion... £95
