Track end adaptors?

Fuck me, they look like I made them. A more secure version would be a u-shaped whatsit that slides over both sides of the dropout... but there's no way to polish this turd of an idea. Eccentrics/magic gear.

I can sort of understand the guy has had a Eureka moment, but what he really needed to do was do it properly with a dedicated track frame or replace road with track dropout (which for most frames is still an aweful bodge).
