There's some nice road frames with vertical drops, so I can see why someone's made these, but they look a bit clunky to me.
Looks like there's a few drawbacks to them too.
Firstly they're fugly, second they'd tilt the rear of the bike up by an inch, thereby tilting the top tube down a la low pro, whilst also widening the gap between the wheel and brake bridge. And you'd also only be able to use wheels that are 120mm.
Is there a better solution to adapting a vertical drop out road frame to fixed, other than the magic gear solution?
