Addin those replacement studs is a PITA (i read on the interwebs). I'm considering adding studs to the outside lugs of a fatbike tyre set. The easiest way to do this it appears is to pre drill the lugs, and add the studs from the inside. Then cover with a split innertube. But the tyre pressure might be too low to support the back of the studs?
Still looking into this.........
