I used to ride with headphones when Downhilling, the key factor there is that Trees tend not to move in front of you, unless you're completely beyond the edge. I reckon, personally, headphones do make for a more chilled ride, but not for me and town riding.....it's a personal thing....... I'd vote no headphones, some will agree and some not, it's personal preference until the buizzies get involved.......
