Whilst I broadly agree with the anti-ASL sentiment as expressed by MG, I have to admit that my pet hate du jour is the motorist who pulls into the left-most of two lanes, passes all the traffic queued in the "main" lane, then boots it off the lights, pulling sharply right across the traffic in the other lane to avoid the inevitable buss lane that he is heading into.
I think the first warning, with no ability to reduce this or appeal it, should be the car to be crushed and a £10,000 fine levied for this behavior.
So, in light of that, I don't mind the ASL turning into a log-jam if it holds up someone who has decided that they are more important than everyone else, and will put others at risk to get to the next traffic light ahead of everyone else.
