Hit the deck; ASL blocking drivers

As I just posted in another ASL thread they're a waste of time in many cases and have an inherent irritation factor to other road users. I'm sure if everyone joined queues at traffic lights and junctions - assuming it's not gridlock - in the middle of the lane, behind/in front of cars and stayed there until the traffic moved off junctions would be much safer and predictable for all to negotiate. Thanks to cyclists/motorcylists impatience* everyone at the head of the queue can easily get confused when folk are cutting in front of them from all angles at particular junctions.
