Pearson Touche 09¹, 56cm black frame.

I've used this as my main bike for the last few years.
Fantastic and versatile too - mud guards, panniers n all that if you like)

Frame is in great overall condition, I have put tape over the logos to chill it out a bit so might look tatty but all good nick.
*Carbon forks and seatpost. Rear wheel/hub is double fixed.
    Cranks are Campy Strada converted.
Bars have been chopped down to silly width but I kind of like it that way.
Brake lever and callipers are Tektro.
Saddle is Planet X fizik copy. *I have a knobbly rear Bontrager cross tyre on rear,
this as a hangover from last winter. Happy to change back to road, but again I quite like it so your call.
Atac pedals not included but i have some BLB track pedal i'll throw in.

Only negatives are wheels could do with true'ing not bad though.
Seat post is a little stiff to shift, it*does move but with effort.

  • Aaaagh - was looking for one of these for ages befor buying another bloody pompino.

    Great price

  • Marvellous....... Stupidly stupid question, can one side be turned into non fixed? No knowledge of double fixed, hence daft question to those that know.....

  • Ha, unfortunately not that i know of.
You could swap wheel or pick up a secondhand one from here perhaps ?

  • The threading for fixed sprockets and freewheels is the same so yeah, you could easily change it - just remove sprocket and lockring, thread on freewheel.

(The main thread is a bit narrower than on a dedicated free hub, but loads of people have done this and it's fine)

  • What size person would this suit? :-) I'm 6"2 to 6"3 (depending on your tape measure), and only have mountain bikes (genesis IO is my SS) so I have no clue on road/cross bike sizings, and from what I've read this may be a tad small for me? I must have a strange shaped body as I fit onto a 19in genesis (a nearly too small but can chuck it about nicely), and a 20in Charge Duster (comfortable, fits like a glove).
I'm a new member so feel free to email me at ruckimeng at gmail if you can't pm me. Cheers!

  • dibs

  • You can dibs all you like, until I have cash in hand it's still for sale :-)

  • available again, nice guy to deal with and an utter bargain..please someone grab this!!!

TT is the crucial measurement - what is your comfortable reach?

  • can I come on saturday to pick it up? I will do 170 for the frame, so just the frame please

  • You can come Saturday if you like, but I'm not splitting yet.

Yes the threading is the same but for fixed there is less of it (half of the thread on a fixed hub is for lockring). From all I've heard it should be fine to put a freewheel on a fixed threaded hub, but for peace of mind make sure you get a decent freewheel so there is less chance of stripping the thread or similar problems.

  • Just thought I'd point out that a friend of mine who's not on this board has dibbed this (I think!).

Very tempted myself, but I can't justify another fixedgear/singlespeed at the moment.

  • Thanks Upstart and DFresh for your tech help!

@Japseye, I havent heard back from your mate yet.... Have just sent him an email though.

So bottom line is bike is still up for grabs! Come on folks, I need rid of this by this weekend.
Not splitting as it just not worth it, good price et al.

    Get me.. ;-)
