I like the way you think Roymund, no point in being pretentious about it. Building a track bike with track spec components and then ride it to work every day doesn't seem logical to me. If I'm going to build a fixed wheel bike for commuting and errands, I'm getting a steel frame with tongue-in-cheek triple triangle and bendy seat tube, just because I can. And I'd hapily call it a fixie.
