Got lockring tool/chainwhip and loadsa fixed cogs when you work out what size you need.... Ste might have a lever.... actually i might have one too....
-
• #2883
cool, I'll swing by and grab them sometime, the lever needs to have a 22.2 clamp so I can stick my risers on the fuji, the lever on it has a massive clamp, Ill give you a few quid or do a swap for the one on this if you want?

Hi all,
I have some Profile Design Airwing bullhorns for sale if anyone is interested £20 (+£5 p&p). The plug ends have a bit of scuffing but in good nick with bar tape. I got them with a bike I've recently bought but they're a bit long for me so I'm gonna chop'n flop some drops instead.
Cheers,

Ok, Haz 19t Profile cog & 20t Andel cog, what you got on the front at the mo? 19t is probably better for having loads of skid patches...
also haz, odyssey monolever, but can't find my calpers so not sure if its 22mm or not....?
-
• #2891
20t please, front is 48t which is 5 patches, that'll do me, i think the monolever is 22.2 as I was looking at one on chan reaction earlier, you about on friday?

48:20 = 2.4:1
I've got a Dura-Ace 16T sprocket, think it's 1/8th. That'd give you a 3:1.

spin to win rob. I ride 44:18 and its much more fun and safer than 48:16. An old (and possibly wise) man told me you don't need more than 65 gear inches on the road. Don't understand why people run GIs of 75-80+ on the road, it feels shit unless you're bombing it down an empty (and flat!) road... 48:20 is 65" BTW, so I'd recommend either adam's 19T or 20T.
Also I have a 20T, but i kinda wanna keep it.

it's got a 16t on it, my knees can't hack it after bombing around on polo gear all the time, the esb was 38 17 and that was plenty, ain't going for any land speed records

Anyone got a pin spanner i could borrow? Or a bodge for getting an old style BB out?
-
• #2896
Yeah, got a Park Tool adjustable one, i'll be at be at home near Asda Hulme if you want to collect later? about 6/7pm?
-
• #2897
yup. i've got the tools for removing the lockring and left cup, but not a 36mm spanner for the right cup. (which i wouldn't mind having, if anyone has one!)
-
• #2898
if you've got everything out apart from the cup with the pin wrench holes, you can use this Sheldon Brown technique: http://sheldonbrown.com/tooltips/bbcups.html
I've done it to removed a seized bb cup that the pin tool wouldn't get out...
Get yer bolts and washers from Alis DIY in Rusholme, they sell them singly which is better than B&Q etc...: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=dickenson+raod+manchester&hl=en&ll=53.453944,-2.21102&spn=0.008982,0.015943&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=18.304449,32.651367&vpsrc=6&hnear=Dickenson+Rd,+Manchester+M13,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=16&layer=c&cbll=53.453901,-2.211222&panoid=Vt7yK-Rl1fpcSuXRDFCSmw&cbp=12,351.5,,0,-2.37

All sounds far more difficult that first expected. Thought it would just come out like the newer cartridge style ones, evidently not. I'm actually in liverpool but may be over in manc at the weekend.

Still got the stock gearing? 48:15 (~85") or did andytk gear it down?
If its still the stock gearing, I rode that very bike with the stock gearing over Woodhead pass a couple of times. Hard work it was.
attempted gazumping, eh?
