If I get sturdier wrists I want them to make my mallet move faster, not pointlessly wield an overweight mallet!

Does anyone have a front brake that i can buy off you? (Caliper, Lever and Cable if poss?)
If so - get in touch.
I need one before the 15th of this month if possible. -
• #2431
yeah, but don't you see that 7075 is stronger for any given weight/design, so if you buy another grade it will either be weaker or heavier. also, not for the first time, your applying bullshit theory to something you have pretty low experience of. why not just accept you know less than the other people involved for once? it's not something to be ashamed of. I probably know less than you about shitheap 70s road bikes for example...
Oh dear oh dear. Really struck a nerve with this stuff. Dont you think your being a bit melodramatic and a bit of a prick?

Does anyone know where I can get a plastic crate (like the green ones they use for putting stock in at supermarkets) or something I can use as a rear-rack-mounted basket.
I asked at Sainsbugs but they said no. Short of nicking one from the loading bay I don't know where I'd get one
something like this

Selling my Langster to fund purchase of a MTB.
Recently had a new Stronglight BB fitted as the old one was knackered. Also, due to a seized bolt I had to replace the crankset, so decided to go for a nicer looking Token Track crankset. I have replaced the stock forks with the Columbus Carbon Tusk forks, the stock forks offered a brutally buzzy ride. I have recently replaced the brake levers as they had scuffed from being leant up walls, new SRAM bar tape (not the best wrap, but ok) and some Prorace brake cabling with red housing. I have also put a much better seatpost on than the standard unbranded one bolt alloy shite, a Ritchey Pro alloy one. Also put a new chain on, a Miche Track 1/8 one - very nice. I keep my chain very clean regularly degreasing it with GT85 and then relubing it with Finish line Ceramic lube. The brake pads also have loads of life left and are pretty decent brakes, they are my first experience with rim brakes and they are very good.
Also included will be the Shimano M540 pedals and the crud road racer mudguards. I'll also chuck in the original pedals for what they are worth and a spare saddle - a Charge spoon.
The bike it in great nick, a few cosmetic scratches on top and down tube as pictured. The left side chain stay has a scuff near the BB from where the bike shop had nicked it when sawing the old crank arm off. The seatpost is a little scuffed, but who cares right? The tyres have loads of tread left and havent punctured once, really rate them for Spesh own make.
In Birmingham, can leave bike with my Dad who works at a courier if you want to sort your own collection (his quotes are always very high as they are a specialist same day service, so dont ask) but the jist is he be about all day for a courier to grab it. I can meet in city centre or halfway point on a train route. Or you can just drive to me and grab it.

That Langster looks nice. What size did you say it is?
I didn't see any!
To be honest, I have no direct experience of Rik's stuff, just assumed it was the same as Perros. My perros are much stronger than anything else I've used. And random 7075 ski poles have been much better than unmarked (presumably lower grade) poles.
I don't really want one that bends all over the place - I think it helps to get used to where the head is in relation to your hand. Also, weight is key figure. It's no use having something that's twice as strong if it's twice as heavy... There's no way I would want a heavier mallet, and would really like something lighter. My mallets come out at around 250-300g, total, but I'd really like to save weight from the shaft and head (the grip is less relevant in my opinion). A few grams may sound trivial, but when it's on the end of a 90cm pole, it feels a lot heavier.
Anyway, this should be in the BS thread. Good job we have 'hands off' moderators!
