Just wondering if I myself have been a bad rider – what’s the exact protocol when at the head of traffic turning right across a lane of traffic with cars behind?
I always go into the middle of those little painted boxes on the road with the arrow, go in the middle to stop people coming inside and whizzing past when I’m turning after traffic coming the other way has gone past. I find it distracting cars trying to overtake when turning and had always assumed they should wait for you. This morning some idiot comes up on the outside of me to try and turn right so I knock on his window and he gives it the standard why you touching my car etc etc and I tell him to learn to drive and he goes off….
