Is that a Campag Comp Triple rear derailleur? didn't think it'd work well with an MTB cassette, shouldn't be surprised with it's long arm.

Loving the home-made front derailleur though, did they wrap it in something?

Looks like they fabricated a whole new cage from something like Delrin, using the original steel cage as a skeleton.

Also, look at the rear dérailleur hanger - it looks like the B-Pivot has been moved further from the axle than usual, presumably to accommodate the big sprocket.

more than 40mph that's for sure (which is pretty standard on a normal geared set-up).

but from the look of the landscape i just wonder if there will be anywhere straight enough to go much fastr than you safely could with a normal 52t ring
