1) that's wasteful, I'll be left with a spare brake.
2) that's defeatist, the brake will not win.
3) converting a front brake is more fun:)

1) sell your brake
2) not sure your brake was engaged in a battle or competition
3) riding a bike that works is more fun than dicking around buying parts and fitting them -
