Well, you could just buy a rear brake.

1) that's wasteful, I'll be left with a spare brake.
2) that's defeatist, the brake will not win.
3) converting a front brake is more fun

1) sell your brake
2) not sure your brake was engaged in a battle or competition
3) riding a bike that works is more fun than dicking around buying parts and fitting them

1) fair point, hassle tho
2) all my parts are fighters at heart
3) can be true, but fitting/ building/ converting etc is therapeutic!
