  • Je me souviens!

    Got to love those french-canadians!

  • new rim, tyre and BLB retention on the pedals :)

  • You will need a brake on the back wheel to steer and slow safely in the wet.

I like Satan's own chainset BTW.

    I don't get it?!

  • Looks like a pentagram innit.

  • After 2 looooooooong years in the wilderness of Africa, I have FINALLY rejoined the civilised cyclerists society with my new steel pony.

Now I've just got to remember how to ride one....

I am currently yes, 52-16 free untill I get used to the crazy ratio... I destroy my own liver...but thanks Satan, for the offer. !

  • If you'll excuse the shocking photo I declare my road bike finished:

  • and? thoughts, opinions, number of smiles per hour? more info please.

  • So far so good. I've ridden it three times now, twice with the carbon wheels- and I'm slowly getting to trust them.

Hit 46mph today, tracked straight as an arrow- and critically shed that speed with no issues.

Climbing it's brilliant, one of the Brixton lot pointed out that I'd just gone straight up Crystal Palace in the big ring earlier today.

  • If you'll excuse the shocking photo I declare my road bike finished:

    How much does it weigh?

  • ffs, don't give him an excuse to get the scales out

    again

  • No need to, as I said- it's finished, I hit my weight target.

  • Needs black bar tape and saddle.

  • @ DMCZone - Aaaah yes tis me indeedy.

    @Arrogah - Cheers :)

@Jersey, I am rather embarrased to say I don't actually know. I got it from a back street bike store, covered in hideously rusted chrome with no markings. The guy who owns the store had no info on it.

  • Finally got it back from Armourtex. Time to go. Spent an hour today watching Dr Who and Strictly with The Girl scrubbing off old logos on the stem and bars with CIF. Now I'm wondering if I dare do it with the new crankset too. Hmmm ;-p Complete NoLogo?

Thanks to Kris at CycleLab for the face'n'chase post powdercoat and the good folks at Moorgate CycleSurgery for getting me up and running with what now appears to be an entire toolbox dedicated to bike tools ;-p

Off to Clerkenwell Screws in the morning to replace the rusty bits. Fun ;-p

And soon a pair of new wheels on white industries hubs and h+son TB14 rims.

  • No need to, as I said- it's finished, I hit my weight target.

You can't be a proper weight weenie then, otherwise this would just be it's current configuration whilst you research lighter components. :-)

  • Hit 46mph today

    Woooohoooo
