and then you speed up and it feels kinda sketchy but you deal with it thinking oh it's just relaxed
Put a longer stem on it.
i like it.... and then you try to climb a hill and it sucks....
Put a longer stem on it.
but you deal with it.... and then a car door opens and you try to turn quickly and you realize that you can't get your weight into the turn effectively in such short notice....
Don't ride close to the parked cars then.

He made it look fun (obviously some part has been sped up);

I have NorthRoad bars on my geared 29er. I like them for my trekking type riding.
I agree with Jersey that they aren't ideal for cranking a fixed gear up a gradient. For that I'd really want hoods or bullhorns*

^^ Nodders gonna nod.
Come on, he's struggling with that bike both up and downhill.

You can get away with those bars if you've got some low gearing.
In fact you can sit about and chill in pure comfort. But it's not fast.
{ he nearly stacks it at the end of that video }

The angle of his hands relative to his elbows looks horrible. Not to my taste.

I've gone to Bullhorns over drops. Makes a lot more sense for commuting on a fixed gear bike with one brake. #oziswrong

The car door was just an example. But you all make good points. I'll consider a longer stem and Keith Richards tears from here on forward when trying to put the wrong bars on the wrong bike and realizing it rides like shit.
