  • In fixed innit. See y'all at 6.15 ;-)

  • I'm running geared, its my only hope in keeping up with you lot.

  • Try best to be there for 6.15 but more than prolly 6.30.. Start and pick me up.

  • I think standard practice if you're late is to run the wrong way then do a quick turn when you see us coming.

  • Heading over now. I think I've eaten too much...
    bluegh!

  • aww this is all so exciting. haven't done it fixed since, umm, last week. 2 fish fingers to go then I'm out of here.

  • go the wrong way... roger that

  • Getting changed now, see y'all at the inner circle in 15...

  • went down early (day off again) instead of waiting for the later madness. Legs were OK but not up to fast bunch riding yet so left about 6.15. Another time...

  • No wonder I can never find you lot... You meet at Jubilee gate, not York gate!

I got bored waiting so became OMPCC* for 20 minutes until I saw OSR et al. Was fine for a few laps, then we got separated by a red light. Went around with a few roadies then couldn't hack it any more, my endurance is shot. Is there an 'Increase your endurance'** thread?

    *One Man Peloton Cycle Club
    **Euph laden...

  • I got suckered into doing a full hour by some roadies (well, brave and some strangers who played nice). Think I got my first ever 27mph lap, will know when I plug the garmin in. Pretty good evening, but sorry I didn't roll with you guys :(

  • Also, Nathan, I think buried in the Track sub-forum there is some kind of winter training thread that might prove useful. Can't promise it though.

  • Nghtmare, turned up after two afternoon beers, overheated and lost my sunglasses.... Furious.

  • Was a short albeit good one tonight!

    Hoke, Hovis, Fixed Cheese and me in our little peleton. New and improved Google tracks had the following results for the HHOP*;

    Total distance = 16.55miles
    Average moving speed = 21.40mph

Not bad to say this included the slow roll in/roll out to Sainsburys afterwards.

    *Half Hour of Power**

** It wasn't half an hour and it was 5 laps plus the first "warm up lap" so 6 laps?

  • I like that whole warm-up lap approach.

  • Will pull my weight next week. See y'all then.

  • hah! don't forget, you're a big guy ben... :P

  • I can still churn a big gear though. Esp. after a proper warmup. Not claiming to be near your speed though Tom, don't worry :)

  • not what I was getting at. will be good to have you along after your weeks of slacking :)

  • 24.1 son, i am impressd

  • 26.8mph on first lap according to strava, 26.9 according to garmin, 27.1 to beat. That's three whole seconds. ffs.

  • Did about 7 laps and then joined another group of lads, before tyre blow out! yikes! bye bye attack force! (warm up lap? tell that to Tom!) but was great fun, but after 8 there was no lights on one side of the park, definitely need lights if anyone is planning to come next week!

  • Just what I needed last night. Did my drills (when the lights and traffic allowed, I think we caught 97% of the lights at red ffs) and enjoyed the feeling of

"oh fuck, oh fuck, oh, fuck, fuck, fuck, can't keep this up, fuck, fuck.. Oh, this is ok, not too bad, breath, breath, dig, dig, oh fuck, fuck, fuck.." etc..

Royal bonk as I hit New Cross though.. Limped home where I ruined a double pack of Jaffa Caakes and 3 bagels..

    Cheers one and all..

  • Garmin concurs at 38kph ave and a max of 50.3..
