True, but only because compact geometry and logos plastered all over the place tends to look shite, so most contemporary bikes look shite. It's a shame that you have to go somewhere like Indy fab to get a beautiful bike. You should be able to buy a decent looking OTP, but its not easy when £6,000 still gets you a horrible looking bike like this. http://i.imgur.com/jqD8M.jpg
Mate, I own one of those - granted its the 2010 black version without all the garish shit on it, and granted I did not pay £6k for it. I will also happily accept that it's not the sexiest bike out there (Mondrian Look - I will own one), however, neither is it hideous... but fuck me if I doesn't absolutely piss on all the other bikes I've ever owned or ridden. Horses for courses.
To be honest, this, to me is porn - Boonen's set up of my 2010 frame for Paris Roubaix (edit - this is actually the 09 frame):
I'm bored bored bored of seeing endless lugged steel frames I'm afraid - I own some and they're beautiful, but will always love the S Works more because of what it feels like to ride.

Fair enough, they are good bikes, and I wasn't suggesting that endless lugged steel frames, in slightly different iterations, isn't also dull. Just that I understand why many people prefer the classic look. I do think that the design of most contemporary OTP bikes is sloppy from an aesthetic point of view, and I just can't get on with compact geometry on a road bike. But as I said this is just my point of view, and one of the great things about bikes is that there is still a lot of choice for the individual.

So that's why they put the papers down their tops...nifty idea.

Unfortunately my long legs/short torso means I have to like sloping geom.

I have actually witnessed an old geezer (riding a Colnago C50!) take a newspaper from the front of his jersey, sit at the table next to us, order, and read whilst his coffee was being made.

Well they're doing alright judging by their Land Rover. I can't see it fitting any of the kids, seat looks too tall to me.

^^^ I agree, mostly. Just a little bored of the full NJS builds or period correct 40 year old track frames. So I'll repost my favourite modern bike (again).
Don't get the Venge. Specialized claim it's an aero frame, but has a sloping top tube. Isn't that supposed to be bad from an aero point of view ? Don't most TT bikes have horizontal top tubes ?

The Homer has been around for a while, the San Marcos and the SimpleOne (well been out for a couple months) is their newest addition.
bit annoyed that they only produced the SimpleOne in the most popular size, and no sizing chart for the San Marcos!

The gearing is so low it stands up on its own.

...and now for the oldies in us, 1937 Saxon;
S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G
Any more pics ed? I really like the track ends on old fixed wheels
Looks like the bottom headset cup is integrated into the head tube (complete with grease nipple!). That's quite ahead of its time, no?
