Ugh, this sort of thing makes me so angry,
I was stopped at a red at the front of an ASL near Bishopsgatae yesterday and an Addison Lee driver (who I think was texting) rolled straight across and knocked me off my bike from behind. I uncharacteristically flew into a rage (I had a bad off on Friday and then had a bike nicked on Saturday) and during my apoplexy failed to note his number plate too.
Hope you get the bugger. Worth looking for CCTV?

Check the "What to do in case of accident" thread for tips, check junction for CCTV and get copy/stills.
edit checked street view there are loads of cameras facing the junction outside CSM and more on the island on Southampton Row

Sorry to hear that. I hope you find out some information. By the way, the junction in question is that of Bloomsbury Way/Southampton Row/Theobald's Road (just in case anybody's confused).

FUCK TAXIS, as Xander's stickers so eloquently put it.
Tow them all out to sea and sink them by gunfire, I say.

Thanks everyone, the support is greatly appreciated.

it seems taxi drivers are pricks no matter where you live in the UK. I hope your girlfriend is OK :) I always treat every driver as if they are going to be an idiot. It's the only way to keep yourself safe.

If you ask for cctv and get charged be sure to not pay more than the statutory maximum. As soon as you have number plate id'd then report them to police and the taxi carriage office or whatever tgeir licensing body is called. They need to be punished for the offence of 'leaving the scene of an accident'. It's not on.

Apparently I can't rep you again, Skully. But this ^^^^ is the correctness.
hi
My girlfriend was knocked down by a taxi last night on the junction of New Oxford St/Southampton Row at about 17:45.
She was riding East as he was turning left(North) with no indicator in slowly accelerating traffic.
He stopped and his passengers got out but then he just drove off, no number plate was taken, people offered to help but she was buzzing on adrenaline and balling her eyes out so walked off and sat in the park.
Did anyone see this or happen to be filming (head cam etc) and could perhaps help, she is not too badly injured and the bike is only really worth sentimental value/travel card, but it would be good to find the driver or company and let them know this is going on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
