I agree with you that we've seen some bad surfaces over the past year, but have they ruined tournaments for me personally? Nope.
I'd hate to think that having read your post 90% of tournaments in the UK would dry up because the courts didn't meet some arbitrary standard voted on by 4 people on the internet.
