Mine fits the same way as the camera (but put in through from the front, as the head won't fit through), resting on the two lumps. Makes sense?
Also, to stop the battery case rattling, a bit of electrical tape round the middle to make it more snug, and some folded up foil at the end to press it more firmly against the battery connection spring. Helped with mine, ymmv!
