I have a small frame & forks that I could sell you if interested. I'm going to be really vague here and say I can't remember the maker, sorry! But it's a 49/50cm if I remember correctly - I'm 5"5 and ride a 50-52cm frame normally, so I would have thought size would be good for your girlfriend.
I love the frame, just never got around to building it up because my need for it wasn't essential. I think it's 501 tubing, paintwork is a bit tatty but lots of charm - doesn't matter if you're powder coating it I guess. £50. PM me if interested. E.
