Just a quick update on Richard, He's being moved to St Thomas' for major surgery on his leg as soon as a bed becomes available. Will let you know on the out come.

Best of luck, we'll be thinking of him.

Message from Richard: Hello everybody, going back into surgery this afternoon for a bit of a wash and brush up, so not worth co-workers dropping by till Monday. Wish my phone had a camera so I could send you some gory pictures, oh well.

By the way, a group of us raised a glass to him on Tuesday night. Hopefully next time he'll be with us!

I had surgery at Tommys two weeks ago, they did a great job Richard, my thoughts are with you Mate, will be donating to the LCEF tonight at London's Calling...

This happened right outside my sisters office, glad I can pass on that he's doing ok she was really worried.

Hay guys just a little update. Just been to see Richard and hes just amazing. Obv beat up and battered but so the Richard that keeps me entertained on my radio ten hours a day. Another op tomorrow then we'll see ;-)

Is there any news of possible charges/action against the HGV driver????

Good luck with the revision operation. Sounds like he will have external metal work.

Fuck! If this is the Richard I think it is I remember meeting him on his first day as a courier when we worked at the same company and mentoring him for a bit. One of the soundest couriers I've met, even when he moaned he was funny

Update on Richard, he's been back into surgery twice this week for his legs, he's going back in to surgery again on Monday, he will still need quite a few more operations. He got fitted for a wheelchair yesterday and is now mobile around the ward at least. He is in remarkably good spirits.

Message from Richard: Hiya everybody, just woke up from surgery with a big skin graft taken from my left thigh, means my right foot is finally safe from being used as a paper weight in Dr Frankenstein's office!! Only have to recover now. All visit's welcome now, as long as they're accompanied by a can of Fosters or a Double cheeseburger!!!

He deserves better than a Fosters! Good to hear he's doing well, good luck with the recovery.
