  • this isn't fucking twitter, cut the hash tags.

    #dicks.

  • When did you start playing polo?

    Almost three years ago...
    hangs head in shame

  • He's laughing

  • ^ i love that vid.

  • The second Beaver Boys goal shouldn't have been allowed. He ball jointed and didn't pass.

  • In the NA ruleset, you can ball joint in your defensive half only, so you can ball joint to halfway, then must stop, but then are free to score.

The best version of the rule IMO.

  • +1

  • The only tricky part is the penalty for doing it in offense - ball turnover/conceding possession seems a little harsh, and I don't see the point (i.e. the other team hasn't been fouled or hasn't lost anything).. But it's the only option, because otherwise it just becomes the same rule as we have it written

i.e. the punishment is that you have to pass the ball..

  • yeah, so if you ball joint in the offensive half, is it a turnover?

  • yeah, so if you ball joint in the offensive half, is it a turnover?

No, you just can't go on to score, you have to pass. That's my understanding of it.

Our rule only applies in the opponents half of the court, in NA ruleset IMO.

  • So can you score from a ball-joint if you shoot from inside your own half?

  • but you can't shoot from your own half if it's after a reset.

  • Or you release the ball joint before you enter the opponents.

It sounds complicated, but it really isn't. You can't ball joint in the opponents half.

Oh! So it's half of our rule, half of theirs. Ball joint in defensive = ok. Ball joint in offense = have to pass...

I am basing my info on the version of this rule that we took from NY bench minor - that was ball joint in offense = concede possession.

They may very well have changed it since then.

  • unless you pass.

  • but you can't shoot from your own half if it's after a reset.

This rule is utter bull-shit. People went power crazy when this one was introduced. 4 people say something on a thread, suddenly it's gospel.

  • uh oh.

  • So can you score from a ball-joint if you shoot from inside your own half?

    Yes.

  • snoops goes berserker.

Shall we ban him, we only need four 'yes's.

    1. gabes.
      2.
      3.
      4.
  • uh oh.

I'm over it. But it was/is BS.
