why would you cut them off!?
They ruin the lines IMO. Really like the look of the brakes without those messy bits. -

Probably better to bolt on some different shoes/pads rather than destroying the original ones, if you ever want to sell your brakes you'll get more for them with the original shoes including wheel guides. While you're at it, you can upgrade the pads to some modern ones that actually slow you down.

Yeap... I can imagine those campag pads would be worth a penny even on their own.
don't do it!

I've got a power amplifier and need a suitable preamp to accept line inputs from 4 sources and offer me some bass / treble / volume control. Any ideas ?

Question regarding brake levers;
At the moment I've got Tekro R100A levers
But the little piece of metal which stops the lever going back in to the hood keeps working It's way lose and the top part of the lever ends up under the hood which makes the bottom unreachable from the drops.
Is there a way to prevent this or should I just go and buy a new set of brake levers?

Thanks I did think about that. I may even try some super glue just to hold it in place, think that'll work?

Yes, easily available I have one.
It's just an adjustable angle stem like you might find on a hybrid

They look nice, and a possibility if I can't fix these levers. Might look in to them once I've got more cash.

I have a very stuck seatpost - having tried all manual methods I am now about to resort to caustic soda method. I understand this process well having done it before - but I have a question.
The frame in question is made of Ishiwata 017 tubing **silver brazed - **will the caustic soda cause damage to the brazing at all? Sorry if this is a stupid questiuon but really want to keep this frame in top condition.
Thanks in advance,

Does anyone know the difference between the Light & Motion Stella LED 150, 150N and 150L lights? Is it purely cosmetic differences?
Also, are they worth £90? Looking for a front commute light for winter. also looking at a Hope vision 1, and maybe the PX Crops NRX30 3W.

All those lights are for seeing where you are going. If its for a regular commute, seems a bit overkill.

How much would a Siebel project cost to implement for a company with a £800m market cap value? Looking for the Siebel to be a CRM tool.
Quite a broad question I realise, but hoping for a vague figure and maybe some evidence/sources.
Thanks!

Software or consulting? £££££ most likely. Either way - there will be much, much pain.
Salesforce is also used for some large market cap companies for the reasons above. http://www.salesforce.com/crm/editions-pricing.jsp
