What time is it? Watches and horology

Looking at b dial fliegers love the originals but 55mm is far too big ( yes I realise that they were observators watches..) trying to decide on laco stowa or Steinhardt unless anyone has any better recommendations

Steinhart do a 44mm don't they?
Laco do a couple of 42mm options.
There's a few other german companies that probably do their own versions. Names are escaping me at the moment.
