Might have to come look at the Samson out of pure curiosity..
Pic doesn't do it justice.

The Samson looks solid! Just needs spoke cards to finish it off.

Trying to imagine a road bike that would justify the sale of that Samson. What you after?

No problem, I'll let you know what happens.
I'm in Ireland now and will be for a week for the Race Around Ireland so won't have much Internet access (or time to use the Internet) so leave any questions or PM me and I'll get back as soon as I can. Cheers!

Just seen this thread.
Johnnyhotdog, you have to make up your mind, either here or ebay, not both, there are rules I'm afraid.Good luck anyway.
In order to fund my new road bike, it's with a heavy heart I have my beautiful Samson up for sale, my trusted Langster and an Easton EC-90 Aero carbon front wheel.
Firstly, my Samson. I brought this home from Japan last year - the frame forks, headset and bottom bracket were used and everything else I bought new. Since then, it's had about 300 dry miles.
It's as close to a full NJS build as I coud reasonably get - everything except the tyres are NJS, even the spokes and the 36 cross 4 spoke pattern.
Picture:
Spec:
Samson NJS frame and forks, 51cm. I'm 5'9" and it's as small as I could reasonably go.
The frame has had some use and has some chips in the paind and one small dent in the downtube. It's hardly noticeable and hasn't bothered me. I considered getting it repaired and repainted and I have the necessary decals but I discovered that it's fully chromed under the paint and my budget doesn't stretch to that! The drive side chainstay is chrom and the rear spacing is the Keirin specific 110mm so it's super narrow and looks amazing from the rear.
Hatta Swan Super Deluxe Headset
Nitto Pro AA stem (90mm.)
Nitto B123 AA Alloy track bar. (38mm)
Champ Yoshida Grips. (Extremely popular with Keirin racers.)
Nitto NJS P72 (Jaguar) Seatpost with NJS specific 30mm rail spacing.
Kashimax 5 Gold 8P saddle (Black with 30mm rail spacing.)
Hatta R9400 Bottom Bracket
Sugino 75 crankest (of course!)
Sugino chain ring, chainring bolts (even these are authentic) and crank bolt covers.
MKS RX-1 pedals, MKS toeclips and MKS Alpha double straps.
Wheels are Dura Ace hubs (I still have the boxes for these) laced to Araya 16B Gold rims - the ONLY NJS rim available at the moment - with Hoshi stainless steel spokes which are of course NJS.
Tyres (the only non NJS part) are Vittoria Rallye and have served me well so far.
It also has a Dia-Compe clamp-on brake with a Dirt Harry lever and an NOS 80's Dia-Compe brake cable. For that authentic Keirin rider training look, I also have the Dia-Compe lever and original box.
D.I.D Racing Pro chain. (I still have the box and extra links)
Next up is my Langster. It's the handsome looking matt black 2006 bike with the skulls and alloy forks. It has been on wet weather duties so currently sports some rather nice Crud Road Racer (MK2) guards. It can come with or without these and it's a 52cm frame.
Picture:
Spec:
Standard Langster spec but with Dolan Navigator Pista wheels (the front has a Continental Sprint which is almost new and the rear has a Vittoria Corsa Evo CX again with little wear.) Stronglight chainring, Token cog, Sram chain and an ITM stem. It also has a Specialized Titanium BG saddle. The pedals are not included but I have some flats somehwere I could throw in to get you going.
Finally (for now) is an Easton EC-90 Aero front wheel. It's carbon, it's sexy and it has had some use but runs true and smooth. Some of the laquer has come off but that's only cosmetic:
Picture:
It also comes with a FREE matching rear wheel with a shimano free-hub. However, this has a tiny crack in the rim approximately 0.9cm long due to a Leeds pothole and an underinflated tyre. It may be possible that this can be repaired but the hub and spokes are perfect still and it runs true and smooth - if I was keeping them, I'd buy a carbon rim from China and build the wheel up with that if it couldn't be repaired.
Everything is available to view in Leeds if you're here or you know someone who is (although I'll be away for the Race Around Ireland next week so may not be able to reply to enquiries immediately) but if there's anything you want to ask, feel free. No px I'm afraid as I need the money and I'd rather not split the Samson or the Langster.
I will of course post to London (at your cost.)
Prices:
Samson: £1400
Langster: £300
Easton EC-90 Aero: £295
Also, none of this 'dibs' with conditions attached carry on. It's whoever is first with the money. I also have one spare tub (used) which I'll throw in with either the Langster or the wheels, whichever sells first.
If anything sells here, I will of course make a donation to the forum.
Thanks for reading - I'll be back from Ireland on the 17th so will reply to all questions then if I haven't managed to before.
