@rowhan- pretty sure thats some kind of asian (maybe malaysian) religious/ritual ceremony kind of thing. it involves lots of people putting large metal objects through themselves plus a whole load of other stuff.

It's an offering of pain to the gods. Similar to Flagellation only very much more public and celebrated I think!
