  • so. should i sell my 5DMk1 with 28mm f1.8 + 50mm f1.4 and get a GF1 with some m-mount lenses? (with the potential of a bessa further down the line)

I literally never bring my 5d out with me which is such a shame, i love it when I do but just never get round to it, it's just too bulky. Better to bring a lesser camera than no camera, right?

I'm thinking very similar thoughts right now.
At the end of last year I went from a D3 with 24-70 f.28 and 80-200mm f2.8 to a 5D1, 1D2, 17-40 f4 and 70-200 f4 because I was doing some press work and wanted two cameras. I'm doing less press stuff now and hardly use this kit. 5D probably hasn't been out the cupboard for a month, the 1D, 2 or 3 months. They just don't suit my style of shooting anymore.

I have a NEX3 which I recently got an adapter for to use my Konica primes with, really like this setup and thinking now that I might get rid of the DSLR kit, upgrade to a NEX5 and get a Contax G for film needs. I'd probably get an adaptor to use the Contax lenses on the NEX too.

Only thing stopping me is that I will probably still do some press stuff, the odd corporate job and some 2nd shooter stuff for a wedding company and would really need an SLR for that. When I say need I mean from a clients point of view, I'd happily shoot all that stuff on either film or my NEX.
