I've acquired a fairly nice Ritchey 1" A-head stem that I want to take down to the bare Aluminium and then polish to match a seatpost, but the usual oven cleaner trick doesn't work. There is a lacquer coat that I need to lose and I really don't want to do it through hours of wet and dry sanding!
Any tips on how to lose the lacquer please?
