Isnt that too small for you malaysian?
Ill take it off your hands as its my size ;)
-

Well I'm going to see if I can get it to work with a bit of seatpost... I'm longer legged shorter reach so should be workable. if not I've just sorted a bike for a friend and think it's come up a little on the small side for her (or too aggresive postion at least), so may get her to try this out for size.
Will let you know if I change my mind though xander.

He mentioned that having them on the bike made the same sound as someone shaking a bag of scrabble tiles for the entire time you are riding.
Not at all true on a road bike, maybe on an MTB though

Just got this off pistofski, thinking about L'Eroica 2012, and may have access to some old period campy stuff but I am dithering, old school or nu school......any hearty LFGSS options/advice/pointers/abuse would be appreciated.

I like old/new mixes.

It looks like a lovely frame and vintage campag would obviously fit better. But if it was me I'd go with modern kit and ride the hell out of it.

10sp Chours Carbon if it were up to me, new 11sp levers are so ugly

i'd personally got for a newer groupset but not a current one, for example Hilary Stone has a NOS 9spd Mirage groupset from the late 90's on his website atm
-

I'm thinking of going for L'Eroica 2012 too. I'd love to get hold of a nice Cinelli Supercorsa like the one Hilary sold recently. I reckon something like that with a nice NR or SR groupset would work.

+1 to this, except i think the l'eroica rules are pretty stiff on the age of the bike, so pre 87 NOS it may have to be. bye bye cash..................... -

I spent a good hour playing with my avid BB5s.
So much adjustment, and the rotor is still not perfectly flat.
Am I right in thinking any rotor will do as long as it is the right size? But nevertheless, the eBay found Boardman CX is awesome to ride.

As long as by "right size" you mean having all 3 dimensions correct
1: Outer diameter
2: Width of brake track
3: Thickness
then any flat one-piece rotor will work. All bets are off with rotors using a brake track riveted/buttoned to a separate centre. -

I had a play on Sunday with a friends new Boardman CX. He has bb5s and is having trouble with discs too.

The problem with BB5s is the caliper, not the disc. The whole design relies on bending the disc as the brake is applied
-
• #50748
Yes. Not actual disc warp or anything. I should have said 'disc brakes' rather than 'discs'.

I'm thinking of swapping to the slightly better BB7s I happen to have lying around.

Took it for a spin (brakeless, but on a long straight road in rural sussex) and its whippy as cornetto... well jealous.
