  • Use a set of calipers to measure the cones, or hold up open ended spanners and see which comes closest.
    If your aiming to buy cone spanners online, avoid like FUCK the (often not) cheap 'Cyclo' cone spanners* that have about 4 different sizes on them. £3 online, £10 in halfrauds, and they are genuinely bollocks. Buy park,pedros,fat spanner or CRC brand-X. And buy set sizes, not several sizes in one tool.

    *I had decent pedros spanners at home, but wanted something lightweight to take on multi-day trip. Should have just taken the proper jobs as the cyclo ones were unbelievably bad.
