Fundraiser - Hell's Belles Sunday lunch potluck 25.09.2011 @ The Orwell

Afternoon of Sunday 25th, at The George Orwell N1.

After an inspirational bit of brainstorming with Zoe (ok, this is her idea), this idea was spawned to get old and new friends together over some food, drink, and food-shaped objects.

Please bake, fricassee, stir-fry and toss some food together for a bunch of us to share, and we will ask you for a donation >=£3 per person to get your grub on, all proceeds going towards the first ever Hell's Belles bike polo tournament.

Mark at the Orwell has kindly offered re-heating / cooking facilities, which I shall investigate further this weekend. I will also ensure there is a rice cooker on site for Coventry Beagle to use.

I am test-baking rum and ginger pie today. It is on.

you can eat them cold prav, astleast i think you can. But they taste nicer oven cooked. re heated they will look like soggy sausage rolls. yuk.

Best thing about bringing a dish is the lack of guilt when you fill the tupperware for the ride home - nom-nom.

I checked out the orwell kitchenette, it has a microwave, a toaster-grill thing (small)
and one of those multi-compartment things for keeping food warm. So nothing fancy...

Arses, can't make the 25th - got an exam on the 28th so need to be studying that weekend.
