Day after the Clacton ride, so doubtful for me....if I decide Guinness 5 will put me out of the running/riding for Saturday, then this could be a Plan B, as I see you can enter on the day.
I reckon I'd be doing the 50k one though...although if I've got a road bike sorted by then, would consider the 80km.
Hmm...is in the diary at least!

Good luck!
Would have loved to try this- but will be dragging myself across Scotland that weekend (a good part of it on Little Heather's bike). Really keen on trying a sportive, though (keep signing up for duathlons and remembering I can't run). Say if you sign up for any more.

^^^^^^^ made me LOL.
KT, you walk so you CAN run. Maybe not so fast right now, but with practice you would :-).

Do you run CW?

Well I CAN run - but it's not speedy or a particularly inspiring sight. Still have 2 duathlons to get through this autumn, though (when I said I keep forgetting, I did mean keep)
Aren't you a 'proper' runner...?

LOL - well I've not run much this year but re-started at the beginning of the month. It's a kind of 'pre-club' training before I rejoin my running club sessions and I realise how pitiful my sessions have been.
Cross-country races to look forward to.

Thanks for the link might well think about the 25k and encourage a few friends.

Nice one. They have a fair few people signed up so it should be good.
I might ride back to London, depending on what time it starts, if anyone fancies joining me.

I am in bed instead. Idiot.

Bed wins again. He is indeed a formidable foe.

He is. I'm going to stick to afterworkers in the future, where the battle with bed has already been won.
Without wanting to kick off another debate about women only rides and should we/shouldn't we segregate, I am doing the CTC women only sportive in Reading on 18th September. 25km, 50km and 80km routes. The 80km has challenging terrain!
It will be my first sportive. I am quite excited. Anyone else want to join me?
