Many of the newer members of the forum, may of heard of the legendary Fiddy, AKA 50/14, and wonder why he appears at the top of so many forum lists.
Sadly passed, and remembered fondly by many, he encapsulated all the best, and most testing, facets of this community. A gentleman, a bon viveur, a loyal friend, but equally a forthright personality who could not be forced to bend the knee.
Never with a lock, rarely on time, and always with an infectious laugh and good grace, he was welcomed wherever he went. Wests, Souths, all points of the compass claimed him as their own, and the world was a better place for knowing him.
So tomorrow evening, in honour of our departed friend, no locks. Buddy up with a friend, one guards the bikes, the other buys the pints.
And let's raise a glass to a larger than life personality, who is sorely missed.
Cheers Paul, and please look down on us with a smile as we roll around London.
