Lefties already banned from decision making.

That's called a dolphin slap around these parts. you have a MM:SS for that moment? Didn't see it when i edited this thing.
Can't watch it through right now, at work, but I think there's a couple of occasions that I'd call that guy for riding like a dick.

• #829
i couldnt see it either..?

Not sure it would fall under the 'dolphin-slap' full tail swing into someone. I'll watch it again later, but when I watched the whole game, I just thought he seemed to be using his real wheel a bit too much.
Probably just a matter of opinion. Some people think it's acceptable to just slam full speed into other players when they are in the corner trying to get the ball out, they don't think they're in the wrong, and others do.

They're discussing how to deal with lefties in some threads... uh oh Bill.
We can always pass on a list of rule issues/requirements to NAH and see how it goes down, food for thought, etc?
Gabes: I saw some hands on backs/pushes too, but most of the game is clean.

That's BS, a lefty got to the final who's not american (i.e Lefty Joe) and now they're scared, and want to ban it. Crap.

• #833
Just put USA on ignore, their days are numbered...

uh, they are? FUD.

I for one applaud the idea of a unified ruleset. I mean, why the fuck not!? The only differences in the rules are minor. Doesn't mean that there won't be controversy (like if mallet shape and hole diameter were to be regulated, which it isn't anywhere as far as i know). But as we saw in Seattle the style of play isn't really that different around the world. And i'm not just talking about the two videos people have seen so far, which it seems people want to reach some really broad conclusions from.

Kev, can I have some sort of access or input into the NAH rules discussions?
I have some input from London, and also from the Euro Champs refs.

http://www.lhbpa.org/resources/LHBPA_Bike_Polo_Rules.pdf
This season's LHBPA rules updates:
- Incidental clarification within penalties
- More succinct/simple sections
- Playing advantage (ref's arm in air)
- Mallet head length
- Resets unified and simplified across the board
- Penalty foul examples of accepted (and not) moves
- Drop bars not allowed
- Mallet protrusions clarified
- Hooking not hacking clarified
- Ref guidelines added at the end
- No left on right charges
- Not shooting from your own half during a "reset" (cheap shots)
- No checking of players into court walls that have "meshing" (Newington style)
- A sub point that the referee can award second "mechanical" time-outs to teams if it was caused by a foul by the other team
- The new method for starting a game (no 3,2,1, polo...), "are you ready?" to each team and then the ref blowing a whistle
Future things for next season:
- Expulsion from tournaments (by organiser)
- Mallet standardisation
- No more tapping out (except for dabs)
- Foreign objects on court
- Cockpit space clarification/fouls
- Short stopping ruling clarification
- Incidental clarification within penalties

:(
I'd suggest the correct way to deal with that would be to get involved in their rule making.
