I'd suggest 26 x 17 would be good. But I do prefer the more micro gears...

  • I have 25 x 17 which I think is 38 gi. I also have a 14t for road gear which just fits in the drop outs.

Cheers OLC, I think I'll have to pop back to bring the batteries, so Tuesday might not be the last one ever...

  • Hey, just wondering do you guys use the 3pmh mallet heads? And if so are they any good? Just started playing polo and we are finding it impossible to get mallet head material.

  • I use this gear ration calculator, I have found it a bit easier to use.

DuD3, if you see any road work going on, pop you head round and if they use any 63mm gas pipe, just ask them nicely for a foot or so.

  • Cheers extra, started about a month ago and typically since then all the road works down this way seemed to have disappeared. Even been onto a few building sites to ask with no joy. If those 3pmh 1s are any good don't emind buy a few at that price.

  • Yes the 3pmh heads are good. The majority of us use them.
    Where are you based?

  • I am going to polo tomorrow after all, shall I bring the inner tubes, CowHen and cyclotron3k??

  • People who want balls, baskets or poles let me know, and I'll bring them.

Rik & Caroline, I'll bring your poles.

Aidan did you still want a ball?

  • Yup, cheers John.

  • ^^
hey john, can you bring the ball for me? i ordered a rim as well so bring if you want. thanks!

joni, nooooo! you will truly be missed. australia will be getting a +1 in awesomeness when you arrive.

  • Sorry to see you go Joni. I wouldn't be playing polo if it wasn't for you. You'll be missed!

  • Ah that is a bit upsetting, but do enjoy new life down under, Jones. xx

  • So.

    I'll bring:
    2 poles (rik & caroline)
    1 red ball (aidan)
    1 green ball (lish)
    1 rim (lish).

    Anything else?

Aidan, and anyone else who wants stuff, can I get you to pay online if possible, I'd rather not take cash.

    cheers

  • Done. I also took the liberty of buying a new head and pole.

  • Anything else?

Can I get a ball, John? Any color. I'll pay online right now.

  • Tom, or someone else, can I borrow your bike tomorrow? I didn't manage to finish my pomp over the weekend. :-(

  • cheers Wicksie, have put an order in for some 3mph's. based down in canterbury. hopefully jollying up for the bff tourney

ExTra, you're welcome to take my bike for a spin

    1. CowHen

    3. Puiyin

Paul, shall I bring the inner tubes?

Caroline, could I have the wheel if it's still up for grab?

    1. CowHen
    2. getoutofnj
    3. Puiyin
    4. c3k
    5. c3k + 1

ExTra, I'll be around too, so if you could bring the inner tubes for me, that would be cool! Cheers.

    1. CowHen
    2. getoutofnj
    3. Puiyin
    4. c3k
    5. c3k + 1
    6. Puiyin's friend says she is bringing 3.

Sure thing, will bring all the inner tubes.

  • I have 2 mallets which I don't use (a little too heavy), but would be perfectly acceptable as loaners.
