  • I just found this thread, if anyone was looking for a review from a 'fixie skidder' I'm your man, I've been running a halo fix g hub for 5 months now and I can say that it's been the BEST hub I've ever had, you can space the cogs easily with the spacing kit that's comes with the hub, not to mention how easy and quick changing over cogs which helped me especially when I rode the coast to coast. As for wear and bite marks on the spline I'd have to say is minimal, the idea is that you use a thicker cog such as a gusset double six or the halo fat foot cogs. I live and ride Newcastle (brakeless) and it's served very well in terms if durability on the climbs and decents into heavy traffic or emergency stops. I've serviced the hub every month and as long as you pack the spline with Teflon grease also tightening up the lockring will ensure no play and reduced wear between the cog and spline.
