• the good news is that once on, the tyres seem to stretch a bit, so taking off again shouldn't be quite so bad an exercise- but do take 3 tyre levers at all times- strong and thin ones with good curvy ends, some plastic ones just bend under the pressure.

    Put all three levers in the rim/tyre, secure one on a spoke and work the other two to ease the tyre out, I have been known to use a knee as an extra "hand" when I've had to wiggle all three levers at once though ....

    Been there, done that, got the scars/T shirt/temper tantrums.......
