not that it's any of my business, but can't you get a room in a nicer area than whitechapel for 550/month?

Well, 550 is more than I want to spend on housing at the moment, and I need to get to South Woodford and Wapping pretty easily. Prefer to save money than spend it on a nicer area, been there done it.

You can probably get a room for more like £400 a month if you're saving money and don't mind the roaches.

Don't joke, there were roaches in my current place when we moved in. Real fixer upper.
If there's £400 to be hand and it's less than an hour from South Woodford, and bike friendly, I'm all ears.
Don't be a tease.

You're in luck!... It just so happens that i've got a spacious, well-equipped dungeon room available in Mile End as of today. You'll be sharing with me occasionally and nobody else at all. It has an ensuite bathroom, a big double bed, and various other furniture. All ameneties will be close as far as you're concerned and the best part is that you can stay there for free!
PM if interested.

if you know of a room going somewhere in London - let me know, I need to move out, in a few weeks time.
Cyclist and Primary school teacher looking for a room in Whitechapel / Mile End area, for commute to South Woodford on Central Line.
Looking to move-in sometime mid-October.
Clean and tidy, n/s, no pets.
Flat wanted as cheaply as possible really, and if need-be then October-December short let. Sub 550 per month please.
Thanks!
